From Ambition to Action: How Kenyan MSMEs Are Navigating the Digital and Green Transition

By Samwel Oyugi Oriwo and Dr Eunice Omwoyo

Kenyan MSMEs are increasingly embracing digital tools and sustainable practices to stay competitive in a fast-changing economy. Many businesses now use cloud platforms, online marketplaces, and digital marketing to expand their reach and improve customer engagement.

However, challenges remain. Gaps in cybersecurity, system integration, and advanced digital skills continue to slow full digital transformation.
